The Very Revd Andrew Tremlett, Dean of Durham will be swapping his surplice for a sleeping bag later this month as he joins other CEOs and business leaders in a sleepout in Durham Cathedral in support of the homeless.

Andrew will join hundreds of business leaders who are all coming together in various locations and dates to ‘sleep out’ and raise funds for the CEOSleepout 2018.

The CEOSleepout charity was launched in 2014 by Northeast son Andy Preston and has since become a national phenomenon raising more than £1.4 million to fight poverty and homelessness in the UK.

The charity said: “CEO Sleepout was set up to fight homelessness and poverty. Our fight is funded with money raised by executives who sleep outdoors for one night to raise sponsorship from their business contacts and friends.”
